The research department functions under the supervision of Dean Research and patronage of Vice-Chancellor. It promotes the research environment and quality of research in the University.
SGGSWU research community is continuously working to solve real-time problems which are vital for the world and intellectual society. It thrusts upon collaborative and multi-disciplinary research for solving the issues of downtrodden & developing nations. The depth and diversity of research initiatives can be analyzed from the projects being undertaken under various faculties. Devoted to the studies of national and international significance, the areas like engineering, food processing, biotechnology, nanotechnology, physiotherapy, chemistry & physics, business and administration, law, physical education, religious studies, philosophical, literary and cultural dimensions of the human life are being explored.
The research department coordinates with various national and international funding agencies and research bodies to support its research initiatives. Advanced studies are being carried out with the collaboration of reputed international institutions and scientific organizations for the growth of economies, improvement in human health, sustainable development and making this planet a better place to live. Currently Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) programme is running in 24 disciplines and more than 200 research scholars are enrolled for Ph.D. in these disciplines.
